It's Thursday. . .time to join Sonya @
and another group that has been hosted by Lynn @
to share what we are thankful for.
Sonya asks that we make a list of 5 things.
Lynn is using the theme of Summer this time, but I used that theme at the beginning of the month.

I have been spending a lot of time thinking about what to share that I am thankful for, that I haven't already been sharing about. (my family, Jennifer's Rothschild's Bible study-Me, Myself and Lies, etc.) I am really ALWAYS thankful, but it doesn't always come out in my actions.

Today, I am thankful for these last 2 weeks of my Summer, to

1. spend with Kalyn, before she goes back to college.
2. spend with Jase, before he begins another year of school.
3. prepare for my new job, new school year.

I AM very thankful for
4. my family
and for
5. Jennifer Rothschild,

who, in the words of my daughter, remind me to "chill out" (speak more kindly to others)
and in the words of Jennifer Rothschild,
"If we combine our effort with power, God's power, we will sing a victory song, just like Deborah did!"
Jennifer shared the words of a wise penguin in the movie, Happy Feet,
"Triumph is just trying with a little 'umph'!"

Psalm 84:5NIV

Blessed are those whose strength is in You, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage.

Psalm 84:5 Personalized by me

I am blessed!
My strength is in the Lord!
I have set my heart on following the Lord!

I hope that you will join in sharing what you are thankful for today, and have a very Thankful Thursday!

  1. Fantastic list. I love the quotes you used. Thanks for sharing. Blessings, SusanD

  2. Its such an amazing power we have to tap into--the same that raised Jesus from the dead! Great list.Enjoy the week with your children!

  3. I'm doing Jennifer's study:

Me, Myself, and Lies....good stuff in there.

  4. I've got some thankful things today!

I'm thankful for the sunshine, the time I get to spend loving on my kids today as they grieve the loss of their first pet- I'm so thankful that it's me here, and not someone else because I'm thankful that I get to stay home with them. I'm so thankful for my husband and his dedication to our family and I.

  5. I am working on "chillin' out", too... what a difference it does make.. less stress, more rested, etc

    Happy Thankful Thursday!

  6. Blessings Sandy...I so enjoyed looking around your blog of scripture & have so many new blog ideas, I had not yet seen though some are similar to what I have participated in. It was a good way to get to know you!

I really enjoyed how you combined both Thankful Thursdays! I have done both but never at the same time and you did it so well. I love both of the quotes from Jennifer and the scriptures are perfect! Beautiful Thankful Thursday! Beautiful family & much to give thanks for...Praise God!
