And God is Able. . .God can pour on the blessings!

My heart is so heavy today for so many of my loved ones.
For my best friend from childhood, who is still my best long distance friend, Ann,
her husband, Greg had emergency heart surgery yesterday.

For my daughter, who is taking college finals today and tomorrow and then going to work at Falls Creek all summer on Thursday.

For my son Josh and his family, Adrianne and Madasyn, I am happy for them, as they just bought their first home, and have been workng hard to make it "home". For Josh, as he completes his first year of teaching

For Jase, as he is a student of God's word.

For my niece, Melanie as she graduates tomorrow night, and for Danny, Alyssa and Zachary.

For my sister-in-laaw, Michelle and her family, as they decide which city to move to and find the home tht God has for them.

For Dee, Mom, Dad. . .

For Charley and Angela, as they prepare to adopt a baby girl, and as they will have a busy summer.
For Camden, as he turns 7, and prepares to be a big brother.

For Jeff, as he works hard to provide for our family.

This is my prayer for all on my heart today:

2 Corinthians 9:8
NIV
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

The Messatge
God can pour on the blessings in astounding ways so that you're ready for anything and everything, more than just ready to do what needs to be done

Embracing the ministry of being an "Older Woman"

(My Beth Moore Scripture Memory verses for May 15)
Titus 2: 3-5 NIV
Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good.
Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children,
to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and
to be subject to their husbands,
so that no one will malign the word of God.

Ephesians 5:33 NIV
And the wife must respect her husband.

Dear Heavenly Father,
I praise you that You are my Heavenly Father.
I repent of my sins.
I acknowledge that You are guiding me in Your ways and giving me Your peace.
(intercession) I am praying for my daughter as she is finishing up her first year at OBU, and
preparing to go work at Falls Creek all summer. I pray that you will give her
energy and knowledge and keep her safe.
I pray for Josh, Adrianne and Madasyn as they move into their new home.
I pray for Jase, as he is so devoted to being your servant.
I thank you for and pray for Jeff in all that he is doing to provide for our family.
I pray for our parents and all of our family members.
Dear God, I pray for our friend, Josh Murphy and his parents, as Josh is
rehabilitating and recuperating from a terrible accident.
(supplication) Dear Lord, I pray that you will show me Your will for my life. I pray that
will be able to minister to others for You.
(equipping) Dear Lord, please equip me to do everything you want me to do.
Please help me to be the best wife, mom, friend and worker that I can be.
In Jesus' Name I Pray,
Amen

Pressing on Toward the Goal-May 1 Memory Verse for Beth Moore Siesta's Scripture Memory Team

I posted my verse on the LPM blog asap on May 1, but just haven't been posting on mine.

Here's the verse that I have been working on:

Philippians 3: 13-14 NIV

Brothers (Siestas) I do not consider myself to have taken hold of it,
But one thing I do:
Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,
I press on toward the goal to win the prize
for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Chosen
  • after watching Kalyn run a 1/2 marathon in the Okc. Memorial Run
  • at 1/3 way through the year of scripture memory
  • at a time in my life that I want to forget my guilt of teenage mistakes, but remember them enough to minister to others, strain toward the future, to a goal of ministering to others and leaving a legacy.
