THANKFUL THURSDAY

I have been thinking all day about what to write about that I am most thankful for today.

Some of the things/people that came to my mind were of course,

1. My Husband. . .

CHILDREN. . .

my own--really God's, that He allowed us to raise. . .

2. I am so thankful and proud that Josh is now a husband, Daddy, teacher and coach. . .

3. I am so thankful for the beautiful young lady that Kalyn is, for the past 3 weeks that we had with her, for the Christian college that she is attending. . .

4. I am so thankful for Jase's excitement for God and His word. . .I am thankful that he still has 3 more years "in the nest", and that I have his football scrimmage to go watch tonight, instead of crying/missing Kalyn!

5. all of the children that I have taught in school and church. . . I am so thankful for the opportunity to teach each of the children that I have in class this year.

and I am so very thankful for the

TRUST that I have in my Lord. . .

along with Proverbs 3:5-6, I am praying the verses below for Kalyn as she has gone back to college.

Psalm 20:4, 7

May He give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.

Please join Sonya and all the rest of us in sharing what you are thankful for today.

oh, sorry, I didn't really limit it to 5, I am always very thankful, I really need these Thankful Thoughts in my head and heart, eyes and smile today, to make the tears go away from missing Kalyn.

  3. Sandy,
I am sorry that you are missing Kalyn so much! Each day will get better and I'm sure it won't be too terribly long before you see her again...right?

I am thankful for all the diaper changes I am making these days...healthy family...thoughts of fall...seeing the glory of God in a huge way this week.

  4. LOL! The fact that we "can't" limit ourselves to five is truly something for which to be thankful.

Birdies leaving the nest is so hard - joyous - but hard:-)

  5. I enjoyed reading your list today. It is normal to miss your kids when away I am sure. My wee boy just started school this week and I miss him terribly.
