Family Fridays--FOREVER FAMILY-Part 9-1 day til Jase's Mission Trip-Praying for families of missionaries and military families-Spiritual Sunday

Jase while he was doing

his morning Bible study
We started with 31 calendar days,

counting down the days til

Jase's mission trip.

Today's Journey devotion was perfect for me. This is what it says.

How often do we consider that each man or woman in uniform represents a family? They must trust God in a way that many of us can't relate to---placing their loved ones in His hands, praying that He will keep them safe, strong, and firm in faith. While not all of us have a loved one in the military, chances are we know someone with a son, daughter, spouse, parent or relative serving in the Middle East or somewhere else far from home. Consider today how you can remain consistent in prayer and support for these strong, but constantly concerned families.

This speaks to me about military families,

and also for families who have family members

who are in another country,

serving as missionaries.

It also reminds me today,

that Jase is not mine,

he is the Lord's to use the way He wants.

I am trusting God

to take care of Jase

while he is gone from us

on this mission trip.

Rejoice in hope;

be patient in affliction;

be persistent in prayer.

Romans 12:12

Also see Psalm 91

Today and everyday,

I will pray for the

military and missionary families.

  1. Sandy, Today's devotion is awesome and a wonderful reminder to pray for those serving and their families. I did not know that Lifeway would send Bibles to military personnel. I'm so checking into that. Praying for Jase, you, and your family as he enters the mission field. Blessings, SusanD
