SIMPLE PLEASURES THURSDAY is the place and time to slow down and think about the special, simple thing that is giving you pleasure. Since I have been joining Dayle's party at A Collection of This and That on Thursdays, it has made me think everyday about my "simple pleasures".
This week, that simple pleasure is participating and watching all kinds of teamwork!
At home, I am a part of teamwork.
At work, I am a part of teamwork.
At church, I am a part of teamwork.
And this week, I will have 4 days of slowing down to sit still and watch my son be a part of his baseball team.

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work;
If one falls down, his friend can help him up,
but pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!
Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm,
But how can one keep warm alone?
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
Oh this just warmed my heart. I entered my 20th straight year of my kids being in sports...I am now watching my fifth play baseball and I remember the lessons you have mentioned above each time I watch a practice. Enjoy...yes team work in all forms, a true simple pleasure

ReplyDeleteI just came from a meeting with a group of women, a great portion of whom do not want to work as a team. I sat there sadly thinking of all they were missing because they didn't understand the concept of "Let's all work together".
It is a joy to watch a team. It's an honor to be part of one, too.
I enjoyed reading this simple pleasure tonight.
We are made for 'community'.

Hi! Sandy, this is a sweet post, and to top it off your scripture was my scripture this morning! and I will add that our team work is so important, because thats what keeps us going sometimes is just working together! Spiritually, physically, and emotionaly! Loved this~ have a great wk-end:)
