SIMPLE PLEASURES THURSDAY. . .Positive Words

SIMPLE PLEASURES THURSDAY is the place and time to slow down and think about the special, simple thing that is giving you pleasure. Since I have been joining Dayle's party at A Collection of This and That on Thursdays, it has made me think everyday about my "simple pleasures". Like Dayle said this time, you are a special friend to me, even if I've never met you in person. I have met you through your blog, and you know me through mine. I look forward to this post each week, just like I look forward to seeing special friends!
My job is working with special needs students who are young, but are very physically defiant. The beautiful little girl, with whom I mainly work with, bites, pinches, kicks and hits me multiple times daily, but she also hugs, kisses and says "thank you" a lot. This week, my simple pleasure is positive words, especially the words, "thank you!" and "good job!"

P.S. I did not write this post or any of my posts for praise to me. Just sharing my simple pleasure. I do thank you all for reading and commenting on my blog.

  1. I like positive words, and I have great admiration for people who work with special needs children, They are special and it takes special people to care for them. may the Lord bless you as you do the ministry that you have.

  2. You are a special lady!
I know because I work at a high school and have several "special" students visit my office. It truely is a calling that is exceptional.
    Thank you!

May the Lord's blessings overtake you, as you serve those who can't always know the sacrifices you make on their behalf!

  4. You are the gift...what a treasure to these parents and children. I am so glad you can receive the hugs and kisses and see that you are a very special person. May God continue to give you encouragement in your journey.

  5. I'm joining you with this simple pleasure. I could not agree with you more about this. With all the negatives in the world, there is nothing like a positively expressed piece of encouragement. I'm working on a Bible lesson on the very topic, in fact.

    So... THANK YOU...
    and GOOD JOB!

  8. Hi Sandy,
My middle daughter taught special needs Pre schoolers before she married and had her own family.I know how hard and how fulfilling she found it. It's not a job --- It's a vocation.
Encouraging words are indeed a simple pleasure--- to give and to receive.
    God Bless
